Lemons are great for cleaning and deodorizing.
Edibles:


Sprinkle some baking soda over your washed veggies and have them longer lasting and crisper.

Clean fruits and veggies from chemicals and pesticides by washing them in a container with 4 tablespoons of baking soda added to water.

Clean and Deodorize:

A bowl of baking soda in your fridge will help remove odours and moisture.

A cup of lemon juice in your fridge will deodorize the fridge.

Clean and deodorize your microwave by dissolving a couple of tablespoons of baking soda in a mug of water, then bring to the boil in your microwave. Rest for 2 minutes and simply wipe with a damp sponge.

Microwave lemon juice in a suitable cup for 30 seconds. Rest for 30 seconds and wipe clean with a damp sponge.

Clean your wooden cutting board by rubbing a half lemon over it weekly. Follow by polishing with olive oil.

Add 1/1 lemon juice and water to a spray bottle for air freshener.

Deodorize your rubbish bins or bags by sprinkling baking soda in the bottoms.

Clean your dishwasher with a baking soda added cycle.

In place of chemical dishwasher cleaners, place 4 blocks of frozen vinegar at the bottom of your machine as an effective cleaner.

Clean texta and crayon with a paste made from water and baking soda and scrubbed with a toothbrush.

Add the juice of half a lemon to a litre of water for an effective window cleaner.

Add a half a cup of baking soda to your washing machine for brighter, deodorised clothing.

Clean jewellery with a paste made from baking soda and water. Apply, rest and rinse off.

Add baking soda to your vacuum bag to deodorize.

Use baking soda on your carpets and rugs to deodorise. Sprinkle before vacuuming.

Deodorise mops now and then by soaking it in a baking soda and water solution for an hour or so.

Clean kettles from calcium-build-up by boiling it with half a cup of vinegar, resting it for half an hour and rinsing well. Rinse a last time, boil with the water and replace with fresh water.

Clean drains by throwing a cup of baking soda down the drain and follow with two kettles of boiling water.

Disinfect wooden and other surfaces by spraying/wiping with vinegar. Follow by polishing with olive oil.

Add 5 tablespoons of vinegar to your washing machine as softener.

Clean mirrors and windows with 1/1 hot water and vinegar spray. This streak-free product simply needs wiping off.

Boil 2 cups of vinegar and pour down clogged drains.

Dry and de-humidify:

Sprinkle baking soda wherever you struggle with humidity and moisture, such as cupboards.

Stains:

Water stains on wood can be dealt with by cleaning the area with a baking soda and water solution.

Add to your washing machine half a cup of lemon juice for bleaching and freshening purposes.

Apply a 1/1 vinegar and water mix to bathroom tiles and shower doors, rest for 10 minutes and simply wash scum off.

Make a paste of baking soda and water to rub into washing stains before adding to the washing machine.

Add half a cup of vinegar to the toilet bowl to remove stains.

Add half a cup of Borax to a cup of lemon juice to clean your toilet effectively and leaving it fresh.

Remove stains on plastics, toilets and porcelain sinks by covering with a layer of baking soda and cleaning afterwards with a damp sponge.

Pests:

Squeeze lemon juice or vinegar over the ant-area.

Use a line of baking soda to deter ants.

Use a teaspoon of ‘Green’ dish detergent and a tablespoon of baking soda, with 1,5 litres of water to spray roses against black spot fungus.

Pets:

Sprinkle baking soda lightly into cat litter to deodorize.

Clean accidents with vinegar to prevent stains and smells.

Clean and deodorize animal accidents with baking soda.

Polish:
Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice to 2 tablespoons olive oil for an effective furniture polish.
Use Olive Oil to polish furniture, shoes, leather and other.
